Meet Leigh Mitchell (Founder, Bee Happy HR & Mindfulness Co.)

Leigh Mitchell is an educator and Co-Founder of Bee Happy Mindfulness and the Founder of Bee Happy HR, Hire Her Career Board and Women in Biz Network. Leigh hosts a podcast called the Bee Happy Podcast for Change Makers and is also a Marketing & PR Instructor at York University. Statistics Canada recognized Leigh as an EDI Expert in Gender Diversity and the Bee Happy HR Blog received accolades for ranking number 13 out of the Top 60 Canadian HR & Diversity Blogs awarded by FeedSpot. Meet Julie Middleton, Ph.D. (Co-Founder of Bee Happy Mindfulness)

Julie Middleton, Ph.D.,  is an educator with 25 plus years working as an elementary public school teacher, principal, and consultant of a private school, and most recently as a Co-Founder of Bee Happy Mindfulness. Julie completed her PhD, researching instructional coaching and math instruction. Julie has an avid interest in mathematics education, professional learning, and issues of equity impacting education.  Our mindfulness programs integrate social-emotional skills into education and workplaces using secular and mindful-based practices including customized programs with the Blue Jays Care Foundation, YMCA, PDSB and TDSB. Meet Natalie Gendron (Co-Founder of Bee Happy Mindfulness)

Natalie Gendron has been in education for more than 25 years working with children from pre-school to Grade 6.  She is also a Trauma-Informed Registered Yoga Teacher and a Certified Creative Mindfulness Practitioner.  She has delivered mindfulness-based workshops throughout Toronto and Mississauga using play, nature, movement, and breath work.  Natalie loves to take learning outdoors, using nature to inspire wonder and curiosity.  Natalie also loves spending time in the forest with her children and dog. Our mindfulness programs integrate social-emotional skills into education and workplaces using secular and mindful-based practices including customized programs with the Blue Jays Care Foundation, YMCA, PDSB and TDSB. Natalie HaynesNatalie Haynes, Registered Psychotherapist and Speaker 

Natalie Haynes is an educator, Registered Psychotherapist and speaker.  Natalie’s experience combines 13 years in logistics and supply chain, which include various management roles at Canadian Tire Corporation.  To support her own mental health challenges, Natalie sought out therapy and became a client, which changed how she related to everything.  Natalie made the decision to change careers and has been a Psychotherapist in private practice for over 15 years.

Natalie uses her varied experience to facilitate experiential workshops, and online courses on mental health, equity, inclusion and belonging.  Natalie engages others through her vulnerability, personal stories and experiences, creating psychologically safe spaces necessary for learning and growth to occur.

Her current program entitled “The Comfortable Race Conversation Process” which leads individuals through an experiential process to learn how to have uncomfortable conversations about race with other races.  This program has been included in the Government of Canada’s, 50-30 Challenge, as a tool to support organizations to have more honest conversations about race.


Meet our HR Director:

Sara Bibb is a certified HR Leader and our Director at Bee Happy HR Co. You will think she is part of your team because she takes pride in serving her clients and getting the best solution to the HR issues they are experiencing in their business. She excels in her superior communication skills and relationship-building skills with everyone she works with. She completed her post-graduate program in Human Resources Management at Seneca College and obtained her Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation in 2009. Sara discovered that smaller companies have the same HR issues as larger ones, but without the professional HR resources to handle them. What else was there to do? She started MKS HR Consulting and became the HR Department for small businesses. Sara is also the HR Mentor for the Women in Biz Network.


Meet our Training & Culture Director:

Hilda Gan is the Founder and Chief People Officer of People Bright Consulting, an HR Consulting and Leadership and Team Training company. Hilda is a consultant and collaborative partner for Bee Happy HR.  With a Master’s Degree in Health Administration, a Certified Human Resources Leader and a Fascination Certified Advisor, Hilda knows how to show you how you REVUP Your Potential. She is the Creator of REVUP Your Potential, helping companies to be more inclusive and engaged.

Hilda loves to work with business owners and businesses who see people as their greatest assets. With a diverse career in nursing,  IT, Engineering, and HR, Hilda combines 25+ years of HR with a serial entrepreneur’s pragmatic eye for business strategy. In the late 90s, she and her husband built iTRANS Consulting, an award-winning, national Engineering firm recognized as a Best Workplaces in Canada® – top ten twice and a finalist in Canada’s Best Managed Companies. The REVUP Your Potential concept is based on the success of trans. Passionate about helping businesses be the best version of themselves, she was recognized in 2019 with a Business Achievement award from BWNYR for her advocacy in HR.
